Nielsen and Beethoven

It is possible that this critic will be attending a concert of the Danish composer Carl Nielsen’s Symphony No.3 and Beethoven’s Symphony no. 7 in the near future. As a taste, here are the pieces that will be performed:

The Nielsen with the Danish National Symphony:

The Beethoven (Here is the Third Movement, Performed by George Szell and The Cleveland Orchestra):

  1. Go! Beethoven 7 is a glorious symphony, a wonderfully moving slow movement and the other movements are full of energy!
